At CES we learned about Under Armour’s HealthBox devices and the company is using this Record application to connect all of these devices together. UA Record not only links to those devices to keep track of your activities, but it also connects to outside services like MyFitnessPal to keep track of your nutrition intake.
Version 1.1 of Qualcomm’s App Tune-up Kit includes improved support for the Snapdragon 808 SoC as well as improved support for both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. The company has also added more Google Play categories, added a new specialty gaming category, improved their recommendation accuracy and fixed a number of bugs that had been reported from the last version.
James Kuffner joined Google in 2009 as a member of their software engineering team for self-driving cars. The man quickly moved up the ladder and became a prominent figure in the company’s robotics division but now he has left for another project. Kuffner joins Gill Pratt, along with other robotics and artificial intelligence researchers, at the $1 billion Toyota Research Institute in Silicon Valley.
